Agile Software TesterAgile Software Tester If TV was reinvented today - what would it look like? Magine is a cloud-based service for watching live, time shifted and recorded TV. Say goodbye to complicated set-ups and lock-in contracts with your existing cable operator and say hello to TV as it should be. We are a group of digital entrepreneurs; pay TV veterans and a world-class development team working out of Stockholm, Sweden. And we love TV! In all honesty: Do you have the knack? The knack for wrecking things? We are building a TV streaming service and we have a metric ton of client applications for our service. These client applications need the detailed attention of a rockstar tester. We need someone who is independent and will take initiative. Title suggestions (if you are into that sort of thing): The beacon of light and truth Agile tester Keeper of justice Client tester Guardian of customer satisfaction High priest of test What: As mentioned above we have a bunch of client applications for our TV-streaming service. These clients run on even more variations of hardware. We do what we can to locate bugs but we just cannot keep up so this will be your battle field. You will be our client developer's new best friend. You will work in the team that develops our clients and you will be there every step of the way; from coming up with a more or less brilliant idea to making it a reality for the customer. You will enjoy the trust and the freedom to solve your tasks as you see fit. Wishlist (Things we think we want but if you think you know better we'd be happy to hear your case): Education: We'd like to see that you have a post high school degree of some sort. A Bachelor of computer science is preferred. If you lack both of these but are in fact James Bach 2.0 we'd still like to see you. Work experience: . Test of mobile apps (iOS, Android) . Test of SmartTV apps . Usability testing . Test automation . Agile development (read: There is a lot to do and sometimes things change rapidly but you also enjoy unprecedented freedom in how to solve your tasks) . EU-Supply develops and markets one of the leading platforms in Europe for electronic procurement. Our Headquarter is located in Sweden with employees in UK, Denmark, Norway and Estonia. EU-Supply is expanding and has recently won several national framework agreement and as well as large customers in Europe. As a Software Tester for EU-Supply, you will get the opportunity to influence our software from its conception, through its release and maintenance thereafter. As a Tester, you will be part of this process as well as ensuring the quality and stability of a highly critical system. It is a temporary position for 12 months with possibility of extension. Tasks: The software tester´s primary task is: * Testing web based software, (ASP.Net and MVC), against design specifications to ensure required functionality is met within tight deadlines * Run and create automated tests in order to efficiently test functionality * Participate in feature development from concept to design to Construction in order to drive quality into not only the software application, but also the culture of the organization * Plan, design, and author effective test cases * Produce and adhere to estimates for testing time based on software specifications * Communicate with development team to ensure resolution of defects. Qualifications: * You are smart and like challenges. * Self-motivated, enthusiastic and an ability to get the job done to high standards * Experience in commercial testing and in testing complex web applications * Knowledge of any database query language such as T-SQL * A good understanding of the Agile Scrum Methodology * You speak and write fluently in English. Working Conditions: We offer competitive salaries and benefits (supplementary pensions, insurance, gym membership, mobile, etc.). The job is located in Stockholm in a modern and spacious top floor office with a huge patio overlooking the rooftops of Vasastan, conveniently reached by bus and metro. The role is full time, and we prefer that you could start on short notice.
