Â Responsibilities and tasks - Responsibility for managing the NVH attribute within platform projects. - Areas to cover: Powertrain NVH and Sound Quality, Road NVH, Operational Sound Quality, Sound package, Active Noise Control and Advanced Engineering projects. - Develop and support the cooperation between CEVT and Geely NVH teams. - Develop and set complete vehicle- and system requirements for multiple platforms. - Develop verification plans for the attribute area where needed. (CAE and Test activities) - Support engineering departments in development of specifications, concept selections, supplier evaluations and problem solving. - Report overall timing, status, issues and solution proposals for the NVH attribute to project and in Design Verification Reviews. - Contribute in developing, storage and usage of requirements and test method database. - Plan and support benchmark of new technology and competitor performance. - Propose, support or lead advanced engineering activities needed to support future products. Â Master Thesis - Benefits of active lubrication in modern transmissions Background The oil system has become a very important function in modern transmissions. It lubricates gears, bearings, clutch systems and electric motors. It acts as a hydraulic media for clutch and gear actuation and it also transport heat away from the gearbox. The amount and distribution of oil plays an important role for transmission efficiency. Focus must be set to minimize drag torque losses at the same time as high torque puts large demands on lubrication properties. Â The Powertrain Hardware Design, Clutch, Shifting and Oil System team is responsible for research and development of new technology transmissions with high efficiency. Low emission and fuel economy is one of the biggest driver for transmission development today. That is why it is very important to understand the benefits and use active lubrication in best possible way.Â Â Â Â Â Scope The aim of this thesis project is to understand and quantify efficiency improvements by using different grades of active lubrication in the transmission. Study what is available on the market today, new upcoming technologies and adapt to CEVT development projects. Use and refine existing simulation models by experimental test work, within the possible existing capabilities. Take into consideration electric consumption to operate the system and weight the increased system cost and complexity to conclude on the efficiency gain for the complete vehicle. Â Thesis overview The main tasks are: - Literature study - Competitor benchmark - Development and project adaptation - Simulation - Analysis - Experimental testing - Reporting Prerequisites - Significant interest and understanding of thermo- and fluid dynamics - Significant interest in transmission and vehicle development - Basic knowledge in simulation tools like Matlab, Simulink and GT suite - Basic knowledge in CAD tool like CREO and Catia - Basic knowledge in experimental testing The duration of the thesis work is 20 weeks Suitable Student Background Masterâs student in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar. The Module team consists of four HW technology areas; Transmission Integration â including Gearbox and Shifter systems, Driveline â including AWD systems and driveshafts, Powertrain Mounts and Engine Integration â including Engine as Installed parts and Engine Aftertreatment Systems. You are line manager for the complete module team and you will have two Senior Managers (group managers) reporting to you. For each technology area there is a System Manager leading the concept development and owning the technology over time. The System Managers are also reporting directly to you. The Module team has several customers within Geely Corporate Group in Europe and China as well as many interactions with international internal and external suppliers. The role is reporting to Vice president Powertrain Integration. Responsibilities and tasks â¢ Overall responsible to secure all module team deliveries (technology, time and cost) â¢ Lead the MTâs development of strategies of the technology areas towards the different projects and future business needs â¢ Develop and lead the module team as the responsible line manager. Provide coaching and guidance to employees to ensure deliveries and personal development. â¢ Build up and long-term secure the needed competence, capacity and working processes within the MT â¢ Ensure commonality across different projects â¢ Budget responsible for the MT â¢ Contribute to the management team of Powertrain Integration Profile and Background We are looking for you that have experience of product development in large organizations, preferably automotive and Powertrain development within the Module Team area. NVH performance is directly related to the perception of quality not only of the transmission and powertrain but to the whole vehicle. As part of a complex system, when seeking to reduce transmission noise, it is not sufficient to make improvements to the transmission itself, it is necessary to understand and work together with vehicle team on the transfer paths. Your work as a NVH technical adviser serves as an important input to the decision-making process in the mechanical design of transmission components. You will be part of the Powertrain Engineering NVH team. You will play a key role in this focus group interacting with the NVH team leader and NVH simulation and testing engineers. CEVT is an innovation centre for the future cars of the Geely Group with the purpose of being at the forefront of new developments in the automotive industry. Since 2013 CEVT has grown rapidly and now keeps some 2000 people busy. China Euro Vehicle Technology AB is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. You will be part of the CEVT IT department and report to the IT Operations Manager. As all CEVT IT solutions are quite new you will have the possibility to create a modern and solid client and distribution setup and processes. There will be great opportunities and challenges in this team as the environment is constantly growing. As the projects at CEVT demands unique solutions of the IT environment, there will always be new challenges and high expectations. ResponsibilitiesÂ You will be responsible for three areas within your position: * Office 365, * Directory ServicesÂ * Messaging and Communication Services. In this role you will actively analyze the usage of licenses for decision and phase out the sunset/preserve applications. Assisting IT Operation Manager with license model and continuously improving the services within your responsible areas areÂ crucial. You are also responsible for the architecture and security of the services as well as future visions within your areas. AsÂ the owner of the client specifications (Hardware, OS, Security software) you are responsible forÂ coordinating implementation and changes and coordinating technicians and specialist within responsible areas. In this role you have will be a part of aÂ globalÂ Active Directory and O365team and will be working in closeÂ cooperation with Geely within those areas. This means that some travels, mainly to China and Europe, is required. Requirements To be successful in this role we believe you have an university degree in Computer Science or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience within the responsible areas. You should also be fluent in English and be a skilled coordinator and communicator. We also believe it is important that you have good documentation skills and if you have previous experience of working in a cultural diverse environment that is meritorious. Experience of migration of enterprises of similar size to Offfice 365 is a merit.
