In the last couple of years we have launched a series of new products that are ramping up fast with new customers in e.g. Germany, US, Italy and China. We are now increasing investments in Product Development and are starting the development of a new product platform aimed at penetrating new market segments. Do you want to work with component selection studies in a growing technology company? CrossControl needs to strengthen the organisation with an Component Engineer, a new position that supports purchasing and product management with component selection, second source strategies, and evaluations of various options in early stages of development and maintenance projects. You compare component specifications and data, conduct tests and propose alternative components. You ensure we can avoid single sourcing situations with very narrow design specifications that limit potential supplier base. Another important task is to interface with electronics component manufacturers to get Obsolescence and Compliance information (RoHS, Reach, conflict minerals). Your profile University degree in electronics is a requirement as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing. Experience in the field of electronics construction and a simular role as Components Engineer is highly valued. We use one of the world's largest component databases, Silicon Expert, to have experience with this or similar tools are meritorious. Collaboration skills and the ability to create relationships are of great importance, since you have many contact areas within the company with development engineers, buyers, production technicians, and product managers, but also external contacts with many different suppliers. In addition, you should be able to independently conduct an evaluation that results in a recommendation for component selection with both theoretical and practical content.
