We offer you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make an impact in a company with unique opportunities to grow and make a true difference.   Electrical Distribution System (EDS) is responsible for developing the electrical distribution system, the wiring harness and the wiring harness components, in all vehicle lines within Volvo Cars. As a member of an agile development team at EDS you handle the harness or harness component development, you will develop your product from concept phase until it is ready for production. In the team you will handle all processes related to the product development like CAD design, packaging, releasing of change orders, verification and quality issues related to design. You will be in contact with several different departments at Volvo Cars and suppliers. What you’ll do You will work closely with your team members and shared service teams to develop your product. The result will be a build to print design ready to send to supplier including all necessary documentation and requirements.  Areas of responsibilities within the team: * Development and design of EDS components/harnesses * Packaging * Drawings and models * Requirements * Keep contact with suppliers regarding updates and changes * Handle and determine possible redesigns to solve issues found in testing or manufacturing * Responsible for handling design related quality issues You and your skills You have experience from harness or component design and from the harness manufacturing process. Experience from the automotive industry is meritorious. You have a University degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience and your English is fluent (written and spoken). If you want to join the team as a CAD designer you have CAD tool experience, preferable from working with CATIA V5 (Part design and GSD). KDP and Teamcenter experience is meritorious together with knowledge about Volvo Cars product development process. The teams handle: * connectors or other components used in the harness design but not designed in-house. * verification of the components and harnesses designed by the development teams. * investigation of quality related issues to determine root-cause. * simulation and development of simulation methods for harnesses and harness components. * rework of harnesses for pre-series builds and rework coordination.  Areas of responsibilities (varies somewhat depending on the team): * Support the development teams to make sure that they reach their delivery goals. * Keep contact with suppliers regarding updates and changes for your team product. * Release of change orders (if applicable). * Requirements for your team product. * Updating of your team product documentation. You and your skills You have experience from working with harness related tasks or components matching some of the above mentioned areas. Experience from the automotive industry is meritorious. Mechanical Development Engineer
You will be part of High Voltage Products in Ludvika - a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division. The business unit develops, manufactures and markets high voltage products for HVAC and HVDC systems, such as surge arresters, breakers, instrument transformers, capacitors, cooling systems and cable accessories. In this role, you will work with the development of new high voltage products. Specification, calculation, design and testing of heat pump components and systems, including: • Create, review and understand technical specification for the components; • Analyze customer, product, and safety requirements to derive technical concepts; • Create testplans, execute and document development tests in accordance with standards and internal requirements; • Design, document and support implementation of functional test procedures for mass production; • Issue product technical documentation; • Participate in product design reviews and FMEA; • Propose and drive solutions in accordance with function, cost, quality and users’ requirements. • Quality improvement and optimization of existing heat pump products range. • Cost reduction of existing appliance platforms. • Development of innovative functions based on heat pump components and systems. Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (MsC preferred). Technical skills: • Knowledge in fluid and structural mechanics, thermodynamics and hydraulics • Knowledge in refrigeration and NVH is a benefit • Knowledge about European standards applicable to heat pumps and residential heating systems is a plus. • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project). • Proficiency with MATLAB is a plus. Development Engineer - Autonomous Drive
CEVT is an innovation centre for the future cars of the Geely Group with the purpose of being at the forefront of new developments in the automotive industry. Since 2013 CEVT has grown rapidly and now keeps some 2000 people busy. China Euro Vehicle Technology AB is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. We are looking for several Development Engineers to take part in the Autonomous Drive team developing AD functionalities for the next generation Geely vehicles. You will face a wide variety of tasks in the challenge of developing safe, human centric, high value autonomous driving functionalities. We are looking for people who would like to be open minded and look outside the box in order to create functions and systems that will give our customers a valuable experience. At CEVT you will have the possibility to influence not only your specific engineering area, but also our processes, tools and strategies. Competence areas that we now need additional resources in are Function- and System development, Sensors like camera, radar, lidar and ultrasonic, SW and HW. If you have worked with ADAS, Artificial Intelligence SW, Machine learning or similar, that is also very beneficial. However, currently we are designing and specifying SW functions, but no actual programming. Job Description * Globally drive, develop and establish function/system/component requirements to meet project requirements. * Develop system/component technology strategies and commonalities * Develop system/component design solutions to meet project requirements * Define, plan and monitor system development, testing and validation * Establish necessary engineering documents as input to the suppliers. * Benchmark other OEM solutions, supplier alternatives and take part in evaluating suppliers. * Be part of concept vehicle build to demonstrate future AD features * Support pre-serial vehicle builds Requirements * Minimum 5-7 years of work experience * Minimum B.Sc. Electrical, Mechatronics or Computer Engineering or similar.  * Good knowledge of EE systems in cars and especially ADAS systems is desired * Good knowledge about product development * Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing) * Experience of SW, system design or electrical engineering development * Software development or integration experience will be beneficial * Knowledge of Functional safety ISO26262. * Drivers License Type B * Ability to Travel Personalqualities * You have team oriented skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach other team members * You have cultural awareness * You have a flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions * You have a creative and analytical mindset to handle complex problems * You have an ability to communicate clearly and be perceptive * You have a strong drive and engagement.
