Experienced Software Developer within Layer 1/Platform AreaWe are looking for Experienced Software Developers to be part of our Embedded Software team and is ready to take on a new challenge. As an Experienced Software Developer within our Embedded Software team, you will be responsible for system design and programing ensuring the functionality and quality of Infinera's products before new features are released to customers. You are used to develop and work in a continuous integration pipeline. We are striving for âclean codeâ and to have all unit tests running in build pipe-line before code is merged to master. We strive for fully automated test suites both on unit and system level. The development of the software is done in a Linux environment in close collaboration with the rest of the R&D organization. We work in cross-functional, agile teams where the teams have the freedom to adapt to Scrum or Kanban or a variant of other agile methods depending on what the team feels is most suitable. You recognize industry buzzwords such as NETCONF, streaming, WDM, coherent multiplexing, ITU-T, IEEE, SDN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, âclean codeâ, refactoring and/or OTN. You are able to support as a Mentor for more beginner Software Developers. Several teams within our Embedded Software department are looking for new team members. You may be joining a team currently working on increasing and upgrading the security of our platform. You may be joining a team currently working on increasing and expanding our Optical Transport Network (OTN) capacity and working with the latest technology for 400G and beyond. You may be joining a team currently working on increasing our Layer 0/1 offering with expanding our products capacity per fiber. Or you may be joining a team working with cloud automation. Your personal preferences are of great interest when selecting a team. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent education o More than 5 yearsâ experience Software Developer o Experience from C/C++ o Knowledge about Object-Oriented principles o Strive for clean code o Flexible and innovative o Ambitious, driven and self-motivated o Structured and thorough with analytical and troubleshooting skills o Highly motivated team player o English, written and spoken Extra Skills: o Networking and protocols experience o Deep knowledge about build systems About Us Imagine being part of a team that is fundamentally changing the way people communicate, the way they collaborate, the way they watch TV and explore the universe through the internet.
