We are looking for an Experience Software Quality Assurance engineers to be part of our Embedded Software team who is ready to take on a new challenge. As an Experienced Software QA Engineer within our Embedded Software team, you will be responsible for ensuring quality of your team’s products and features before release to end users. You have the ability to interpret and influence a product requirement document and see how the end user will experience not only the product but also the full solution and develop a test plan accordingly. You develop automated test cases in the existing Pytest framework and you also help identify improvements to the framework to ensure it is maintained and invested in properly. You have the ability to understand and map product requirements, system requirements and industry standards to be able to produce a complete test plan. You recognize industry buzzwords such as NETCONF, streaming, WDM, coherent multiplexing, ITU-T, IEEE, SDN, TCP/IP, Ethernet and/or OTN. You are able to support as a Mentor for more beginner Software QA Engineers. Several teams within our Embedded Software department are looking for new team members. You may be joining a team currently working on increasing and upgrading the security of our platform. You may be joining a team currently working on increasing and expanding our Optical Transport Network (OTN) capacity and working with the latest technology for 400G and beyond. You may be joining a team currently working on increasing our Layer 0/1 offering with expanding our products capacity per fiber. Or you may be joining a team working with cloud automation. Your personal preferences are of great interest when selecting a team. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: •Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent education •More than 5 years’ experience in quality assurance and test •Experience from test automation and manual testing in a lab environment •Python and test framework knowledge •Structured and thorough with analytical and troubleshooting skills •Hold a programming interest and strive for clean code •Highly motivated team player •Skilled in writing reports of test execution and defect analysis •Ability to understand the software design and interaction between sub-modules •English, written and spoken Extra Skills: •Networking and protocols experience. •Experience with use of test equipment from e.g. IXIA, Spirent, Viavi, Anritsu etc. •ISTQB certification.
