Head of Contracts and Projects at Gripen SupportAt Saab, we constantly look ahead and push boundaries for what is considered technically possible. What you will be a part of Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle. Business unit Gripen Support manages Gripen business within Support and Services and provides a focal point for customers and partners. We provide support for the Gripen system including a range of products and services e.g. technical support, maintenance, ground support equipment, component repair, services for advanced electronic systems, as well as advanced logistics supply services. We also offer maintenance concepts as well as production and implementation of various parts of other maintenance solutions to customers in all domains. We are now looking for a new Head of Contract and Projects. You will lead a department consisting of two groups, Contract management and Project Management Office. Our Contract and Projects department is responsible for making sure we meet the contractual demands and business targets. You will also join the BU Management and report to Head of Business Unit Gripen Support. Your role As head of the department you will have a direct reporting manager who is in charge of the project office and you will be responsible for the contract managers. You will lead the department and be responsible for the budget. You will also implement strategies, operational targets and plans for the department and its employees. As a member of the BU management team you will participate in developing Business Unit Gripen Support to further increase success in a changing and expansive phase. In your role you will help lead and support the contract lifecycle and assure good internal and external communication in the projects and contracts. This also includes continuous improvements of the business from all aspects. Your skills and experience We put great emphasis on personal characteristics for the position, as well as securing a high performing, co-operative management team for the BU. You are a committed and driven manager with previous experience in leading leaders. For this role you need to have strong communicative skills and the ability to enthuse and motivate others in your surroundings. You have a leadership style that encourages an open, trustful and innovative culture. It is important to be able to work in cooperation with stakeholders such as other Business Areas and Business Units within Saab. You are a confident communicator in both Swedish and English.
