You are able to spread your technical knowledge further than your technical team of peers and create understanding for the requirement agenda. You will define and document the relevant product requirements as well as have a close dialogue with the purchasing organization and suppliers to secure successful implementation.  About the job As a Product Requirement Engineer your will work with the development of new products and improvements of the running range. You will work as part of the Kitchen & Dining team in the area of Front, Knobs and Handles. You will be responsible to identify and create product requirements and choose test methods for the products. You will also contribute to the creation of new and additional development tests needed for product validation that will contribute to a better quality, safer products with higher customer satisfaction.

Category Sourcing Specialist
As a Category Sourcing Specialist you will be working in a Category together with many Home Furnishing businesses (HFB) securing the material and production knowledge as well as setting up the optimal sourcing conditions. From that position you will lead and secure that all products within your area of responsibility are sourced with optimal global sourcing set-up. You will contribute with material and production knowledge in the product development process and ensure that material and choices of techniques related to cost, capacity, quality and sustainability are in-line with supplier production capabilities, as well as with product development process. About the assignment • You will contribute to material and production competence from a total cost perspective and integration of Category opportunities in projects • You will be responsible for securing optimal global sourcing set-up for running range within the framework of the sourcing assignment and in alignment with HFB, including assessing sourcing risk and scenario planning • You will be responsible to secure optimal global sourcing set-up for NEWs project • You will be responsible to define most suitable development suppliers for specific NEWs projects in alignment with HFB • You will secure the lowest total cost perspective in Business Contingency Planning • You will secure the quality of the Category input into pricing process (Big run, Tertial runs) • You will lead the Purchase Development Process and RFQs The position is located in Älmhult, Sweden but with a global responsibility. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day. Product Improvement Engineer

You will be responsible for identifying, involving, planning and leading needed resources for the projects, and to capture and communicate kea learnings. About you We are looking for you with a university degree in engineering or equivalent. You are motivated by finding solutions and you see opportunities. You like to drive change and to cooperate and communicate with others. You are able to lead people in improvement projects, have good communication abilities: argumentation, negotiation, presentation and analytical skills with ability to transfer knowledge and data into needs and actions. You have an ability to handle large quantities of information and work with several POD teams and stakeholders in parallel, as well as ability to order development from others through setting the right requirements and follow up on progress and result. The assignment as Business analyst As a Business analyst in the IKEA planning experience Programme you will over time work with a broad variety of topics, securing that customer and co-worker needs in the buying and selling journey are analyzed, described and translated into business requirements as a base for the planning experiences and digital solutions that are up and running or that we will create. You will secure that any business process changes that are needed are understood and anchored as part of the business requirements. You´ll be working as part of the relevant teams in IPEX, and stakeholders across IKEA. Business analysts for the IKEA Planning experience Programme (IPEX), IKEA of Sweden, Malmö To be successful in this role To succeed in this role you need to have strong interest in home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home, experience and a good understanding of customer and co-worker needs in the buying and selling process. You ideally bring retail, business analyst and projects experience. An interest in new technologies and how they could improve customer and co-worker experiences in the future will be of great value. You have experience in business process creation and understand the importance of processes in overall and you take a human approach to it. You enjoy an agile and iterative, yet structured way of working and achieving results together with a team in a flexible environment, but also have a strong individual drive to deliver high quality results on time. You have good communication and networking skills and are fluent in written and spoken English. Travelling based on business needs will be necessary. The goal of IPEX is to support and empower customers to find their personal best home furnishing solutions. We will create great planning experiences through providing activities and tools harmonized across channels to give the customer reassurance and confidence, enabling them to proceed in their buying journey and make decisions, independent of the channel or platform being used. Digital development leader
Digital product development within IKEA is about empowering product development by creating capabilities and tools to work in an easy-to-use digital environment every day, making it possible to test ideas, take informed decisions and interact with the many people and partners as needed to create better products at lowers costs. As a Digital development leader you will have the exciting task to both lead and work hands on with digital development. You will work with new engineering capabilities connected to the innovation and product development process, e.g. developing new tools connected to Product and design configuration, Product cost simulation and FEM simulation. The work is organised within the umbrella of Digital Product Development 2.0, where other Digital tools are being developed connected to 3D visualization. You will ensure that set objectives and goals are met and deliver solutions to various functions within IKEA of Sweden. About the assignment You will organise, lead and manage the work to ensure that the projects follows a set methodology in accordance with the process. You will work hands-on to define, build and evaluate future capabilities within engineering and what it takes to set it up. You play a key role in defining the backbone principals of how we define the rules and information that will be used in our future digital tools. You will define and control the project scopes, create project time schedules and budget. It will also be important to lead and secure interactions and planning with internal and external partners connected to the projects, and secure a common user friendly way for IKEA to capture ideas and learning for the benefit of the business and the people. To be successful in this role we see that you have good experience from digital tools for engineer data such as PLM systems and planner tools and you have experience from leading projects. You have a good understanding of the IKEA value chain, product development process and IKEA information model (eg PIA/PLUS) and you are interested in other digital capabilities in relation to product development. If you have worked with information models for modularisation e.g. how to manage interfaces, architecture, modules and parts in IT systems we see that as an advantage. You are good in building trustful relationships across organisations, and you are driven by innovative development and learn by doing approach. You are goal oriented and you have a desire to deliver results with a holistic view. About the job As a Material & Technology Engineer within Comfort, you will play an important role in the journey towards our 2030 goal. You will work to investigate and introduce alternative materials and technologies to foam, and actively work with internal and external stakeholders towards more sustainable product development for IKEAs products. You will be responsible to initiate and lead material & technology development projects, and continuously search for and be updated on developments in your specialist area. You will be an important link to the product development teams to secure an effective utilization and implementation of new materials and technologies. You will also secure knowledge sharing and lead material specific trainings, as well as secure usage of standards where possible and standardization of existing and proven materials. About you To be successful in this role we see that you have a background in either chemical engineering, industrial engineering or in material science, and you have solid material knowledge in foam and latex. You have experience from production processes and enjoy being on the factory floor doing trials. You have passion for sustainability and recycling of materials, and you stay up to date and is curious about what is happening in the industry. It is desirable if you have a black or green belt in Lean 6 Sigma. You are motivated by long term goals and long term results, and you like to think outside the box.
