Laboratory Group Manager, Analytical ChemistryIt is an exciting time with many interesting and challenging projects in the pipeline. Besides the projects Analytical Chemistry also give support with analysis and problem solving issues to all functions in the organization. This is a position where you will have the opportunity to work hands on whilst developing your leadership skills. As Group Manager for the Analytical Chemistry your main assignments will be to: - Provide leadership and technical direction for the team - Responsible for management and prioritization to meet the need of internal customers - Follow the technological and methodological development in relevant fields and implement good opportunities at Analytical Chemistry - Participate in projects and customer support activities as an analytical chemist - Develop the team by establishing and providing clear goals, direction, motivation, and support needed for self and team members to excel in a continuous improvement culture - Maintain and improve standards of health and safety You have a genuine interest in people and a wish to develop your leadership skills. You have a positive and curious attitude to new challenges, good strategic and independent thinking as well as coordination ability. We expect you to have an open-minded attitude and a collaborative way of working, striving for knowledge sharing. Communication and networking skills are keys for success. We believe that the right applicant have/has: - About 5 years of experience in a relevant area and hands-on working knowledge for a variety of analytical techniques. - A technical/chemical education, Masterâs degree or Ph.D., preferably in Polymer-and Material Chemistry or Thermo-Physical Analytical Chemistry. R&D is a project-oriented organization and familiarity with project driven work is acknowledged. We value good complex analytical problem solving skills. Spoken and written English and Swedish is required. We are passionate about producing market-leading innovation based on actual market and customer needs, as well as long term trends. The Analytical Chemistry department contributes to the innovation process through various R&D projects. In addition we also provide support to business in all types of customer relations. Although present in many different countries, we are considered a small company. This means you are never anonymous â what you do really counts. You will have opportunity to influence and contribute. And if this is not enough - you will be surrounded by friendly, supportive and engaged colleagues. We are 16 persons working with Analytical Chemistry. Since this is a fairly large team it has been decided that we will recruit a Group Manager that works closely with the Head of Analytical Chemistry with management and coordination of the team. The group manager will be responsible for one half of the group.
