Since almost all of our assignments are on site it is important to be humble and able to listen to the customer’s needs. You are also independent and solution-oriented. Position description: We are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for Interior parts, situated in Sweden, Torslanda. The overall purpose of the role is to: - Assure flawless introduction of car programs into our plants. - Lead and coordinate activities within area of responsibility. - Continuously strive for commonality within VCC plants. - Upon request support Core or IE, when expertise competence is needed. Main Tasks Lead the cross technical product and production manufacturing work, as well as represent Manufacturing during prepare and implement phase within their own commodity area within VCC , which means: Ensures product and process feedback to Research & Development (R&D) in order to fulfil the "six manufacturing attributes" (quality, man hours, cost efficiency, environment, flexibility, and change over): - Leads and coordinates the manufacturing process within Research & Development - Represents Manufacturing Engineering (ME) as well as within ME and Research & Development - Ensure the input to Analysis and Verification needs (AVB) - Drives and follow-up “six manufacturing attributes” within area of responsibility - Create and upgrade instruction (PII) - Report DPA5 checklist status - Report BGK/PGK and concerns - Input/feedback of ME requirement to Core - Give input to the summary and report gate / milestone answers within the area - Reporting status and deviations in decided systems/ tools and ensure that there are actions - Follow-up of cost within responsible area until the TSU phase Competence Requirements: - Technical competence at senior high school or university level is desirable - Practical experience of the production process - Knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools at Manufacturing and R&D Required: - Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written - FMEA & DFA knowledge are desirable Skills and required experience: To succeed as a consultant at MVV International, your personal qualities are very important. Requirements - Technical competence at university level – chemistry or machine, or more than 10 years of experience in Surface treatment like phosphating, EC, sealing’s, spray able elastomers and paint. - Practical experience from Automotive Surface treatment process or in other way been working with surface treatment like Catia analysis for surface treatment - Project leading ability. - Report status and deviations in systems/tools and ensure action plans to ensure targets. - Catia V5- and Team Center experience. - Fluent English in spoken and written. - Ability to travel, mostly to China. The job includes travelling to suppliers and on-site presence at the manufacturing launch locations. Depending on the program and phase frequent travelling might be required. M.Sc or B.Sc with 5 years or more work experience from X-functional teams in international organisation and R&D, Purchase, SQM and especially Manufacturing organizations, preferably within automotive exterior, interior, under body, upper body and chassie. At the Group Trucks Operation Plant in Köping we manufacture gearboxes for trucks, heavy vehicles and marine stern drives for Volvo Penta. The 1600 employees at the site work in an industrial world class environment. The plant is “Centre of Excellence” regarding Heavy Duty Transmissions. This is us, your new team: The area Production Engineering Assembly consists of around 20 production engineers with major engagement and responsibility to prepare and industrialize new products and processes, refine existing products, maintain and increase the capacity when required. The area is also responsible for the technical support and the continuous improvement efforts which can be divided into reactive problem solving and proactive focused improvements of methods and processes. A lot of the work is organized in projects and we can have different roles in different projects such as experts, project managers or work package leaders. Main activities and responsibilities: As a production engineer toward software and verification you will have a great opportunity for personal development. You can grow within engineering and become an expert that cooperates with universities and develop completely new methods for testing and verification and spreading knowledge globally within Volvo Group. As a production engineer towards software and verification you will also be involved in industrial future project related to for example such a data collection and co-active robots. You will be able to grow within agile project management, which will be the future work method for electro mobility. This position requires good cross functional cooperation with production, as well as other support organizations and product development (design department) upstream in the process chain.
