We oversee all commercial activities for Volvo Cars around the world, including marketing communication, customer interaction, sales and service. What you’ll do Within Current Model Quality (CMQ), daily work is to understand situations regarding quality of cars in customer use and act on deviations. As Market Support Engineer, you are the interface between markets and Volvo Cars’ CMQ. The group consists of 10 people. The main task for you is to handle Hardware Support requests from the market and Helpdesk Centres by assisting in fault tracing and repairs of single cars via dialogue and answers in TIE Vehicle reports. Main tasks also involve: * Initiate and maintain flawless communication with product technical staff in the market/sales companies * Find answers to support requests by: * Scope: All Volvo Cars’ products, all time in dealer/customer service * Redirect and assign all vehicle information reports to responsible PFU * Handle all support reports (VR’s & CR’s with Sub Concern Area “Support Needed”) from the market and Helpdesk Centres by assisting in fault tracing and repairs of single cars via: * Dialogue and answers in VR’s & CR’s * Remote takeover * Secure the achievement of the targets set for Support reports in TIE * Support PFU in remote data collection * Provide the markets with technical information; service solutions and repair instructions within settled targets. * Initiate and maintain communication with PFY and other product investigation staff * Report and communicate developments and trends regarding support requests to department manager and responsible PFU. * Initiate and follow up requests for update of KDP structure; PIE system * Representing Technical Support at technical conferences world wide You and your skills You have experience from technical work within Volvo Cars: Quality, R&D, Manufacturing or Customer Service. It’s important that you have good knowledge in Volvo Cars’ working process and procedures. We believe you have excellent technical vehicle competence within the Vehicle Hardware are. We also see that you have: * Senior High School Technical orientation * Good knowledge in MS Office applications * Good knowledge in KDP, TIE, Lotus Notes and VIDA * Fluent in Swedish and English – written and spoken * It’s meritorious if you have technical fault tracing competence in vehicles On a personal level To succeed in this role you will have to be an engaged and encouraging person that likes to drive change and implementation. Since you will have contact with many people, it is important that you are relations- and customer oriented, communicative and have a networking ability. We also believe you are a good teamplayer and self-driven with inspirational and motivating appearance.
