Software Quality Assurance/Test Engineer within Layer 1/Platform AreaWe are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of our Embedded Software team. We now have the opportunity to offer positions for newly graduated or more beginner positions. As a Software QA Engineer within our Embedded Software team you will meet problem solving on all levels which gives you an invaluable overall understanding of the context of the systems. You will work in a team with both senior and junior positions so that you have a chance to develop your skills with close daily contact and support from your team members. You will be a part of an Embedded Software team and work closely with other departments including the hardware team to be able to deliver not only a tested product, but also a quality assured solution. You will acquire deeper knowledge in how to test code with code with a product development purpose by developing test automation in Python. We are looking for curious people who ask themselves âwhat makes the thing tick?â. We are looking for an Experience Software Quality Assurance engineers to be part of our Embedded Software team who is ready to take on a new challenge. As an Experienced Software QA Engineer within our Embedded Software team, you will be responsible for ensuring quality of your teamâs products and features before release to end users. You have the ability to interpret and influence a product requirement document and see how the end user will experience not only the product but also the full solution and develop a test plan accordingly. You develop automated test cases in the existing test frameworks and you also help identify improvements to the frameworks to ensure it is maintained and invested in properly. You have the ability to understand and map product requirements, system requirements and industry standards to be able to produce a complete test plan. You recognize industry buzzwords such as NETCONF, OpenFlow, streaming, WDM, coherent multiplexing, ITU-T, IEEE, SDN, TCP/IP, Ethernet and/or OTN. You are able to support as a Mentor for more beginner Software QA Engineers. You will be joining a team working on our Layer 2 products that deal with the packet optical range of products and our embedded solution for SDN applications. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent education o More than 5 yearsâ experience in quality assurance and test o Experience from test automation and manual testing in a lab environment o Python and test framework knowledge o Structured and thorough with analytical and troubleshooting skills o Hold a programming interest and strive for clean code o Highly motivated team player o Skilled in writing reports of test execution and defect analysis o Ability to understand the software design and interaction between sub-modules o English, written and spoken Extra Skills: o Networking and L2/L3-protocols experience. o Experience with use of test equipment from e.g. IXIA, Spirent o ISTQB certification. o MEF-services o Ethernet technology About Us Imagine being part of a team that is fundamentally changing the way people communicate, the way they collaborate, the way they watch TV and explore the universe through the internet.
